Office hours are filled with safe discussions where every individual is free to work through ideas, thought lines and concepts. The interaction within beautiful moments of conversation inside and outside of the classroom capture facts and extend thinking. Discussion and healthy debate facilitates synthesis of ideas and fits concepts into useful thought. Joining the conversation enriches learning and research to a working knowledge of the past, the present and the future of topic areas. This level of thought inspires and enriches life. Weaving ideas together builds new thought lines and connects concepts with real life and solves problems. Listening to how individuals apply concepts, skills and digital resources to work, relationships and unique projects strengthens deep and profound transformation in life, community and the world. Weavings are threads, fibers, textures and colors connecting together in amazing ways to establish foundational meaning and purpose.
Reading allows us to enter other worlds, hear differing opinions, question thought lines and find inspirational ways to live and connect. We gain perspectives as we read and deepen or broaden our viewpoints. Time to read is something we all treasure. We long for cliff notes, depend on summaries and use overviews to keep current. This new segment to the Words site includes brief reviews and resources (15 slides or less). The goal is to build a useful library of readings, articles, scripts, books, forums, symposiums, websites, workshops, etc. to inspire and strengthen life and work.
